Wernli is located in Trimbach near Olten. It was here that Friedrich Johann Wernli-Studer opened his bakery with money saved from his godfather in 1905, and the company is still based here today. In 2008, the family-run company HUG AG from Malters took over Wernli. Since that time, the two companies have together been guaranteeing Wernli's high quality, as well as the use of all-natural raw materials insofar as possible, and are ensuring that Wernli remains the most well-known and beloved biscuit company in Switzerland.
HUG AG is a Swiss family company through and through: with its three locations Malters, Willisau and Trimbach it is at home in the heart of Switzerland and is managed now in the fourth generation by Andreas and Werner Hug.
